I've spent a lifetime learning to see color. As a teenager, I was captivated by the original Color Me Beautiful book, a copy I still have today. I loved discovering how subtle changes in color could completely transform the way someone looked. I didn't know it then, but that curiosity would become a thread running through my entire career.
It first found expression through art and years of painting. Later, it became my profession when I joined the beauty industry, where I spent years leading a major color cosmetics brand in Los Angeles. Working alongside celebrity makeup artists and product formulators, I helped develop shades designed to flatter a wide range of skin tones. Those years taught me something I still believe today: small shifts in color can make an extraordinary difference.
What I didn't expect was where that experience would eventually lead.
A former colleague from the beauty industry asked if I would analyze her colors. Then another did. Before long, one introduction led to another, and I found myself helping people discover the colors that made them look brighter, healthier, and more like themselves. It felt less like starting something new and more like everything I'd learned finally coming together.
Formal training in seasonal color analysis gave me the framework for something I'd been developing instinctively for years: bringing together art, beauty, and an eye shaped over decades of working with color, the foundation I now bring to every session as a color consultant in Los Angeles.
